Week #47/2009

Week 47 wasn’t a terribly exciting week. I was swamped with busywork and sat at the computer.
Sunday, November 15th
My 6th week weigh-in for my modified 6 Week Cure. I was back up to a 2.2 pound loss average, after being down to a 1 pound average the previous. I guess that was pretty cool!
I water fasted from Saturday night to Monday morning. Total 36 hours.
Monday, November 16th
Broke my fast with a nice veggie & elk steak soup with omelet muffins. I slept very poorly which made me hungry all day. I ended up eating 5,000+ calories. Almost all of which was at dinner. This was a planned high-cal day, but I overshot it a bit.
Monday night I gave my full endorsement of Eden Brown Mustard on twitter. The stuff is seriously a mouth orgy!
I also finished prepping two more rounds of kefir cheese for drying. These round are made from the raw milk I’m buying but not consuming during #SurvivalMonths to keep my kefir alive. I’m finally going to just freeze the kefir grains next week until maybe mid December. I really hope they are ok. They’re my babies
Tuesday, November 17th

From Tuesday through the end of the week I ate nothing. I did a protein sparing fast. It’ll be interesting to see what happens as far as weight loss at the end of the week for my 6 Week Cure weigh-in. I did not get much exercise this week.
Wednesday, November 19th
No food. 2T of coconut oil early afternoon and 2 scoops of protein powder.
Thursday, November 20th
No Food. 1T cod liver oil, 1T of coconut oil early afternoon and 2 scoops of protein powder.

I did do a little writing this day. How Paleo Is Your Diet was born.
Friday, November 21st
No Food. 1T cod liver oil, 4T of coconut oil afternoon and 2.5 scoops of protein powder.
Saturday, November 21st
No Food. 2T cod liver oil, and 3 scoops of protein powder.
After not eating all week, the Thanksgiving feast next thursday is very much on my mind! I’m trying to be realistic about the likelihood of overeating on Thanksgiving. It will be 100% primal, but I’m game-planning my food before the binge begins. My goal is sub-100 carb, but that means gorging meat nearly the point of puking in order overcome insulin response from smelling/seeing pie. I may bake a suger and gluten free pumpkin pie for myself.

Anyway, because of all this… I wrote about Mashed Potato Alternatives today.
