Vita-Mixes Are Badass

Cheesy commercial explains why you should own this not so cheesy Vita-Mix blender. This thing really does perform culinary magic, cleans up in seconds, has a killer warranty, and great customer service when I called.

The best part for me is the variable speed. This give you the ability to blend ingredients together for say like the “worlds most perfect omelet!”

Check out the 52 culinary feats you can do with this baby!

Order a Vita-Mix through this link & enter coupon code # 06-004218 and you receive free shipping because I referred you. Mine only took a few days to arrive.

Funny commercial! I have one and love it. I make smoothies almost everyday with it.

Favorite recipe: Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie
    1 cup coconut milk
    1 cup frozen banana
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    2 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup water (use as necessary for proper consistency)

That one does sound like a favorite :)

    My Avocado Ice Cream

5 large ripe (heavy spots) frozen bananas.
½ very large avocado or maybe 1 normal size.
    5 medjool dates.

Run it on high and use the tamper to jam everything in real quickly until if kind of folding on itself. Only let it run for a few seconds. This will keep the consistency thicker than if you let it run. it Should be thick like a DQ Blizzard.

The fat from the avocado makes it a little smoother than just bananas & dates (ie.. my banana ice cream).

Makes about 30oz. I often eat two pitchers full (128oz) for breakfast or dinner. Rocket fuel!

Plain Jane Delicious Banana Ice Cream

Exact ratios really aren’t important, but it’s somewhere about 1 date per 1 banana.

So a recipe would look like this:

    5-6 very ripe frozen bananas
    5-6 medjool (or other) dates.

Maybe add a few nuts or a little young coconut.

If you don’t have any dates, vanilla extract might give a little more intense flavor :)

I have a reader with a banana allergy who can’t have banana ice cream. So here is an awesome alerterntive :)

At least 1lb of VERY ripe SOFT Kiwis.
Wash and freeze. I leave the skins on. I like sour.
Cut them in half, and ram them down with the tamper.

If they’re really ripe, the acids shouldn’t be hellish on your lips.
