Help Tillamook Cheese Lead the way!

I have not been a fan of pasteurized dairy products for some time now. A HUGE dairy consumer of pasteurized dairy my entire life, I eliminated dairy completely (or what I thought was dairy) from my diet for a while after going paleo. A lot of things changed for me… LIKE MY STOMACH HEALTH!
Raw is the answer.
Once I found I had an option in RAW to start consuming dairy again without the side affects, I was a very happy Swiss boy! I’m not going to turn this into a huge story about my health and pasteurized dairy, but I wanted to give a little bit of information about why I’m so passionate about RAW.
I’ve since allowed butter and some fermented pasteurized products to remain in my normal diet, but after my recent 6 week abstinence from calorie dense dairy while on my weight-loss diet, I was shocked when I opened the cheese section of my fridge (lots of cheese in there!). Many of my pasteurized cheeses were almost completely unedible! My raw cheeses were mostly mold free, and my raw milk kefir cheeses said, “Close the damn door! We want to keep aging” LOL!
The Point…
I’m writing this to rally support for Tillamook cheese company to start producing Raw cheeses. Tillamook is a large producer of dairy products here in the Northwest. They have the muscle & distribution to help build momentum in the raw movements… plus the best commercial cheeses any side of Wisconsin (don’t want to offend any hard working Wisconsinites)
If you’ve never had Tillamook cheese, go pick up yourself some and taste the deliciousness. Then think about how much better it would be if it was unpastuerised!
Do it right now!
If you are a supporter of RAW DAIRY, Weston A. price, or just love fine cheese, please show your support and sign the petition below. Then either re-tweet or send an email to Tillamook showing your support and intrest in buying their RAW products. If raw dairy has helped your health, share that information too!
If you really really love cheese, there’s also a Tillamook Cheese Cookbook available at Amazon

Interesting. So your non-pasteurized cheese was still edible 6 weeks later while everything else was moldy? Can you elaborate?

The pasteurized cheeses looked like they had been in the bottom of a dumpster for a year. The loaf of Mozzarella was the worst. Rotten almost clear to the core. The pasteurized smoked Gouda was fine I think. Update: It was the Smoked Maasdam that was fine.
I took the worst of them out, but there’s still some in there probably. I’ll see if I can get a few comparison pics.

It’s true! Since I’ve been buying raw milk cheese I’ve been struck by how long it lasts in the fridge without going moldy. Over the years I’ve tried all kinds of things to preserve cheese made from pasteurized milk. I seems to mold so quickly! Problem solved – buy raw milk cheese!

@Cass – Glad it’s not me imagining things
@JC – Pics coming as soon as I get a minute to drag everything out of the fridge and take them.

@JC – Dug through the cheese this morning. Pasteurized are definitely moldy where the raw are not, but there really wasn’t much to take a picture of. Should have done it before, but I’d already hacked away the funk before I’d realized it was just the pasteurized stuff.
You’ll just have to trust @Cass & me on this one. Just like raw milk, the stuff really doesn’t go bad. That Mozzarella I pulled out last week was by far the worst! It was truly nasty.
