15:57! ROFLMAO
Your VFF’s look as great as mine
As for the smell, mine smells like daisies, NOT!
I didn’t know you ran a race, did you run that with CGMOM?

@Stacey, no race… I just run them for fun. I was doing one once a week or so.
I’m a TIT, so I run about as much as my knees can handle without injury. I’m progressing fairly well. Mom’s was a full 26.2 (she walks). I could probably do it, but I’d push myself too hard and get injured. I know myself too well
Not ready quite yet.

Trust me! I know about low helicopters and airplanes disturbing the silence! We had a ridiculous number of forest fires this year in BC, which I blame on MANBEARPIG, and they were using Revelstoke as a water-fueling-ground. In some ways it was absolutely awesome, because I would go down to the wide Columbia River and swim out some small islands, bath in the sun and watch the airshow. I wasn’t worried about noise, and actually.. cough… Reveled… in it.
So I was wondering, if you are out in the wilderness, why you didn’t just go completely barefoot???
Also, I wish I could wear ball-caps. They do not suit my head or hair.
BTW, my reCAPTCHA was “The Packer”, which I couldn’t help but relate to… Meat… Packer.
Best quote? “It’s hard to hunt and tweet”. Serially. Say that 2 years ago.
Looking forward to more vids! Inspiration, man~!
I think the best follow up post/vid you could make would be “Lessons Learned”, for all of us that might try to follow in your fivefingersteps.

@Arlo, huge fires like that are impressive. I haven’t see a forest fire, but I have seen a few large old wooden structure fires.
If I had gone completely barefoot, I would be walking on bloody stumps right now. The blackberry bushes are so thick in some areas I can’t even explain it in words. They puncture the Vibram soles. Plus I did lots of walking on rock (pit run & 3″ minus) and rock, especially hot rock, is hell on your feet.
That is a pretty funny quote. Ha-ha
Good idea. I’d toyed with the idea and was planning on something a little bit like that a few days later while it was still fresh on my mind, but the whole getting sick thing….
I think I’ll still do something.

Now I feel like I’m being lulled into a false sense of security. It looks so peaceful…but the nature is all around you!!!

Just finished watching this episode (I’m falling behind). Great stuff.
That helicopter was unexpected – didn’t anticipate that loud noise when it came on the video. Wonder if that chopper was doing a power line visual inspection or something.
Hunt, tweet, tape and fast simultaneously – I would be willing to bet that you’re the first human to ever do it!!
Looking forward to viewing Episode 3.

@ReachWest, I am probably releasing them too quickly, but I want to get going on other things.
I agree, I bet the chopper was doing an inspection or survey. They come in and cut the trees when they get tall, so maybe this was and inspection for that.
It looks high in the video (was on the way back) but the first pass-by was only like 80-100 feet up. When he turned right around, I though maybe the camera flashed him like a signal mirror.
“you’re the first human to ever do it!!”
You might be right. It’s not especially easy. Especially all on foot.
Thanks for watching!
