6 Week Cure - Week 6 Review

I do not have a middle-aged middle. Heck, I’m not even middle aged! I’m using the 6 Week Cure as a bodybuilding diet. If you wan’t to try the diet (which I recommend) you do not have to try and sustain my caloric intake numbers to have great results! This is NOT part of Dr. Eades protocol outlined in the book. These numbers are my modifications to continue propelling me into single digit bodyfat levels.

6 weeks down today (Nov 15th)!

I didn’t quite follow last weeks plan. Insomnia from the damn squirrels boosted my hunger. I had a few tough days. I still came in and average of 200 calories above my goal of 850. Not bad considering I had a 600 calorie overshoot (was expected) on my first day. I’m entering my data into FitDay, but not counting calories ahead of time and I only enter after I’m FINISHED EATING for the day. I hate counting calories and I don’t want to do it.

So what’s happened in the last 6 weeks while on “The Cure”?

I’m down almost 13 pounds! Not too damn shabby if I do say so myself! I was really pumped today when I showed over a two pound loss, despite the fact that I know I’m retaining some water via squishy fat. The scale also confirmed this by showing me the highest H2O level I’ve ever seen. I have no idea how it calculates the number, or even what it means… but it always reflects what I’m feeling, so it must work. Ha-ha

Weeks 1 & 2 both had 3# loss averages

Weeks 3 & 4 both had 2# loss averages

Week 5 down to 1# loss average

Week 6 back up over 2# loss average!

 

Week 7’s Plan – A Shake Week

I’ll still be VERY low-cal/carbohydrate (VLC) this coming week and will continue using calorie cycling. Here is the tentative plan:

  • Fasting until late Monday morning (11:30am)
  • VLC Elk stew to end the 36 hour water fast.
  • Not sure about Monday’s Dinner Big?
  • Tuesday 3-4 shakes (protein powder only) & Cod liver oil. 0 carb
  • Wednesday 3-4 shakes (protein powder only) & Cod liver oil. 0 carb
  • Thursday shakes & low-carb.
  • Friday water fast & maybe Cod liver oil. 0 carb
  • Saturday 3 shakes, higher-cal/VLC meat dinner

    Update: I’ve decided to do a protein sparing fast all week.

    I ate 5,000 calories Monday night and have had a few tablespoons of oil and two scoops of protein each day since (today is Friday).
