6 Week Cure… Week 4 update

I’m Not Middled-Aged and Hardly Overweight
I’m using the 6 Week Cure as more as a bodybuilding cutting diet. It’s worked as well or better than anything I’ve used in the past for weight loss, some of which may have been a little too hardcore and actually slowed progress after a few weeks (think heavy stimulant use & adrenal fatigue).
Despite not perfectly following the protocol (not using a few of the supplements) and going a bit lower-cal than the book probably wants me to, my energy level has been pretty good across the board. I’m doing just enough resistance training to keep my muscle (20 minutes a week or so) and virtually zero cardio. Just the little required for my bird hunting.
I just finished my 4th week on Sunday. I feel really great and am down 10lbs. None of that is water weight. I’m pumped! I’ve been weighing myself a minimum of 12 (usually 20) hours fasted, after a BM and also dehydrated. The conditions are as close to the same as it gets. Plus I’m pretty in tune with my body. I know when I’m holding water etc…
Weeks 1 & 2 both had 3# loss averages
Weeks 3 & 4 both had 2# loss averages
½ way into week 5 now… but my week 5 has me reverted back to week 1 (a shake week). I’m also regulating my calories heavy this week (sub 700 a day). I’m hoping to get back that 3# average (which is phenomenal). Even if I remain at a 2# average I will be very happy. It’s just not realistic to lose much more actual fat than that in one week.
Week 6 will have me back on Zero-Carb (carnivore) or Very-Low-Carb since I like to eat raw eggs and sometimes get in a few fermented foods for probiotic reasons. I will be alternating between “Shake” and “Meat Weeks” like this until the end of the first week of December.
My strength is up and my joints feel better than ever! A great diet! Pick up a copy of the 6 Week Cure and Join Me for the remaining 6 weeks!
You can Track my daily macro Intake on my Food Log Page for this diet.
